As well as Feature-Adds, The PFD Development Team also have their own ideas of new features & fixes that may make the site better for end-users.
Below is a list of current ideas that we are working through. These ideas are not finalised yet, they are things that are being considered for development.

We would also like to get feedback from users on these ideas, and if they feel the ideas will be beneficial or if they feel they need altering in some way, etc.
Please direct all feedback on these ideas to: Ashley Buckle.

Ideas to Develop

These are a list of ideas that The PFD Team have come up with for features that could make PFD easier to navigate.

Developmental Idea #01 - Compare View in Data Reports

To allow users to compare data contained within a report (eg. compare all measurements for a SCOP Class, within the SCOP Class report) using the Compare Data feature added in PFD Version 2.1.

For more information please see full description of Developmental Idea 01.

03 Apr 2007 - This idea has been developed and should appear in the next release of PFD.

Developmental Idea #02 - Protein Measurement Compare View in Folding Data Reports

To allow users to compare data associated measurements for the same Protein (eg. mutants of a wildtype), within a Folding Data Report for a measurement, using the Compare Data feature added in PFD Version 2.1.

For more information please see full description of Developmental Idea 02.

Developmental Idea #03 - Tree-based Compare View in Folding Data Reports

The compare data of associated measurements for same Protein idea (see full description of Developmental Idea 02), would only allow users to compare mutants or constructs of the same protein, but may take up a large portion of the screen to display such data.
A tree-based approach with check boxes that allow the user to see comparisons at various levels would extend Idea 02, and provide a great deal more functionality.

For more information please see full description of Developmental Idea 03.

We'd love to hear your feedback on the ideas, please email us,
Thanks,
The PFD Development Team.
