You must be a registered user to deposit protein data into PFD.
This article assumes that you are a registered user, if you are not, please see the link on Registering as a PFD user.

Navigating The Menus

To deposit protein data, you must login to PFD with your PFD user account.
Once you are logged in you should see a block in the left menu entitled "Deposition".
It should look something like this:

As you can see there is a big button in the middle of this block labelled "Deposit protein data".
Clicking on this button will begin the deposition process.

This block also lets you download templates to allow for the importing of large amounts of data.
The use of downloaded templates are covered in seperate articles:
Mutant Template
Chevron & Equilibrium Curve Template

Beginning The Deposition

Upon clicking on the "Deposit protein data" button you should be taken to a screen that looks like this:

From here you can decide whether you want to "Begin a new entry", "Continue an incomplete entry" or if your data being deposited is "Based on existing entry".

Different Types Of Deposition

The deposition process is relatively similar across all 3 options, you can find more information on each in the articles:
Beginning A New Deposition
Continuing An Incomplete Deposition
Basing A New Deposition On An Existing Entry
